Michelangelo La dotta mano by Aurelio Amendola is a numbered first edition hardback published by Ars et Ingenio in 2014 in Italian, featuring 382 pages with 88 photographic plates, 45 drawings, 49 images of the Sistine Chapel and 6 photos of the artist, supplied with a protective case and signed by the author.

The texts were printed in rounded Bodoni types and italics at the Pigini print shop in Loreto on vellum paper made of pure cotton, 150 grams, produced by Carteria Magnani of Pescia. Enriched by Michelangelo’s signature in a watermark. The volume contains 88 photographic plates by Master Aurelio Amendola, personally curated in photolithography by the author, printed in four colors on Garda pat 13 Kiara 150-gram paper from Garda paper mills. The volume also includes 45 drawings selected from those kept at Casa Buonarroti, accompanied by critical notes. Completing the work are 49 images of the Sistine Chapel and 6 photos of Aurelio Amendola in the Secret Room in San Lorenzo in Florence. On the cover of the volume there is an original image of David, personally created and signed by Master Aurelio Amendola. The volume bears, opposite the colophon, the copy number and the artist’s autograph signature. The volume is contained in a dedicated case. Condition: new. First work in the Ars et ingenium series.
