Ikonta folding camera in very good condition, tested and working, estimated period 1970–1980.
Description from the seller
Here is a historic folding camera, the Zeiss Ikon Ikonta, a splendid example of German manufacturing and optical precision produced between the late twenties and the thirties. This vertical folding model, highly appreciated for its compactness and robust construction, represents a fundamental piece for any collection dedicated to photographic antiques and the history of the Zeiss brand. The camera body is covered in black faux leather and bears the model name Ikonta elegantly printed in a shaped insert on the top part of the front. The camera mounts a central Derval shutter, and on the optical group the famous circular Zeiss Ikon logo stands out clearly. The bellows mechanism in dark fabric extends properly when the front cover is opened, which is equipped with a folding metal support foot to position the instrument stably on flat surfaces during the shot. Aesthetically the item is in good overall historical condition and shows a beautiful vintage patina, with the classic natural signs of wear on the metallic edges that attest to its authenticity and decades of history. We invite you to carefully examine all the images in the photographic gallery, which constitute an integral and fundamental part of the description, to assess the visual state of every detail. An excellent opportunity to acquire a timeless classic of vintage analog photography.
