Necklace with a pendant in rhodium-plated solid silver, signed Peynet, depicting the famous lovers created by Raymond Peynet.

Rhodium silver is silver coated with a thin layer of rhodium, a precious metal in the platinum family. This treatment protects the silver from oxidation and gives it a whiter, brighter shine.

The circular pendant is adorned on the obverse with the famous Lovers motif. It bears the Peynet signature. The piece is in solid silver, stamped with the crab hallmark as well as the master’s mark, partially worn away.

The original chain has no clasp and is slipped over the head. The pendant measures about 3.8 cm in diameter. The total length of the necklace is about 33 cm. Total weight: 30.8 g.
