Description from the seller

This sewing cabinet from the mid-1960s combines Mid-Century Modern design of the Space Age with a practical piece of Central European woodworking.

It stands out for its slender needle-like legs in tubular metal with the original rubber feet, which give it a visually light and geometric aesthetic.

Using a cantilever articulated system operated by a double handle, the furniture opens in a synchronized way across three levels and five stepped compartments.

It is made with traditional high-quality techniques, such as dovetail joints (without nails) and flush-mounted screws to prevent snagging on threads or fabrics.

Although it was designed for sewing, today it is a highly sought-after piece in interior design for creative reuse (upcycling):

It is ideal as a large-capacity jewelry chest, a organizer of artistic materials (lettering, watercolors) or a small living-room side table.

It is a piece with soul that shows subtle signs of its age, but it remains in excellent functional condition.
