Description from the seller

A very beautiful socketed axe from the Late Bronze Age
1000–800 BCE
Typical axe – Urnfield period / Central-Northern Europe
This is evidence that this axe was a working axe.
(see blade)
The waisted axe head with a blade that broadens flat to the sides.
Colorful patina.
The body flows smoothly into a square cross-section, which becomes round toward the neck.
The neck is visually separated by a surrounding collar and widens into a bulbous end.
An oval opening at the neck gives a look into the hollow axe body and allowed easy sharpening of the axe head.
Double holes on both sides allow attachment.
The decoration consists of curved V-shaped raised double lines.
Length: 13.5 cm x 6 cm x 4.5 cm
The seller guarantees that he has the right to sell the goods and to export.
