Splendid vintage pair of nightstands dating from the 1920s, crafted in a traditional classic style. Perfect to add a touch of warmth and retro charm to a bedroom, a second home, a B&B, or for enthusiasts of creative restoration projects and mid-century/antique style.

CHARACTERISTICS AND MATERIALS:

Exterior Finish: The furniture features an elegant walnut veneer with warm, pronounced vertical grain, finished with the classic glossy polish typical of the era.
Fine Details: The spindle legs, finely turned and fluted at the top, are made of solid wood stained to match. The front is embellished with a dark, shaped Greek key motif on the door and an original artistic metal handle in gilt.
Interiors: The interiors are lined with light wood (Tanganyika/poplar), clean, sound, and ready for immediate use.
Upper Surfaces: Both nightstands are topped with a thick, beautiful slab of natural veined marble in beige/ochre tones. As was traditional in the period, the marbles are simply resting on the structure (not glued), which greatly facilitates cleaning, maintenance, and safe relocation.

CONDITION AND DETAILS:

The furniture is structurally solid and in generally good aesthetic condition. As clearly visible in the attached photographs, one corner of the marble slab on one of the two nightstands has, in the past, suffered a break; the original piece has been carefully and securely glued and repositioned. The repair is noticeable at close inspection but does not in any way compromise the solidity or use of the surface.
