Description from the seller

The piece in the photo is a precious antique table in Napoleon III style dating from the second half of the 19th century. This type of French furniture is historically known also as a table travailleuse (work or sewing table) or a small dressing table for the bedroom.

Materials and Workmanship: The structure is veneered in high-quality woods with refined marquetry (marquetterie) featuring geometric and floral motifs on the top surface and on the lower shelf. Details in Bronze: The edges of the surfaces and the front of the drawer are enriched with gilded and chased bronze appliqués and moldings. Sinuous Legs: The structure is supported by a set of four curved, ebonized legs, joined by a supporting shelf.
