Rectangular horizontal wall mirror with a moulded and stucco wooden frame in a Neo-Classical, Empire style, polychrome green and gilt finish, made in France, circa 1910–1920, 75 × 55 cm (depth 4 cm), in good condition with some wear and losses due to age.
Description from the seller
Horizontal rectangular mirror, in a carved and stuccoed wooden frame. The frame features a relief decoration of scrolling vines, stylized foliage and shells at the corners, treated in a neoclassical spirit. The main moulding is accentuated by an inner beaded frieze. The polychrome finish combines a light green shade with gilding highlights.
The back is closed by a wooden panel, equipped with a metal hanging system (wire stretched between two lugs).
Good overall condition, some losses.
