Description from the seller
Vintage wall lamp in Hollywood Regency style, gilded brass, white opaline glass and amber glass, European manufacture circa the 1960s-1970s
Refined vintage wall lamp in Hollywood Regency style, characterized by a scenographic combination of gilded brass, white opaline glass and decorative amber glass.
The lamp features a wall-mounted structure with a rectangular gilded brass plate and a curved, elegant and slender arm that supports the luminous body with a soft, theatrical line. The upper shade is made of glossy white opaline glass, with a wide and harmonious shape, inspired by antique oil lamps. The lower edge is embellished with a delicate perforated metal gallery, a decorative detail that enriches the whole and emphasizes the retro feel.
Particularly interesting is the lower amber glass element, worked with a wavy and bulging profile, reminiscent of the reservoir of oil lamps from the era. The golden hue of the glass interacts with the warm shine of the brass, creating a luminous effect that is rich, welcoming and highly decorative.
In terms of style, materials and construction, the wall lamp can be traced to European production of the late 20th century, probably the 1960s-70s, close to the French or Italian decorative taste of the period. In the absence of a visible stamp or original documentation, the manufacturer cannot be identified with certainty; the piece can nonetheless be compared to opaline and brass productions widespread in the period, with echoes of Hollywood Regency and European manufacturers specializing in decorative glass for lighting.
The compact yet scenographic proportions make it ideal as a decorative light source in entryways, corridors, bedrooms, living rooms or reading corners. It is a lamp capable of giving character and warmth to the environment, perfect both in vintage interiors and in contemporary contexts where one wishes to insert a luminous element with strong ornamental value.
From a collectible standpoint, the wall lamp stands out for the decorative quality of the whole, for the contrast between white opaline and amber glass and for the presence of the gilded brass mount, elements typical of retro European lighting with elegant and scenographic taste.
Dimensions: height 36 cm, width 18 cm, depth 26 cm.
Shows normal signs compatible with age and use, which do not compromise its aesthetic and decorative performance.
