Vintage nautical lamp in gilded brass with crystal elements, model Náutica, made in France, in good used condition and fully working, dimensions 54 cm wide, 54 cm deep and 64 cm high, dating to 1960–1970, titled Basculante.
Description from the seller
It is a brass-gilt swiveling nautical lamp, a luxury piece conceived for ships and yachts of the second half of the 20th century, where lighting had to be as functional as elegant.
Its structure is designed to swing gently with the motion of the sea, always keeping the stability of the lampshades and preventing glare or breakage: a technical trait typical of high-end maritime luminaires.
The main body, crafted in high-quality brass gilding, shows that warm and deep shine that only well-made noble metals preserve over time.
The three handmade crystal shades, delicate and lightly textured, cast a soft and enveloping light, very different from industrial lighting: here there is aesthetic intention, a taste for detail, and a clear nod to classical refinement.
The piece is in good condition, with the only missing item being a securing nut, a minor and easy-to-replace element that does not affect the integrity or overall function. That small detail confirms that this is a lamp used in a real setting, not a recent reproduction.
In terms of style, it fully fits a luxury nautical classicism, with echoes of Regency style reinterpreted for maritime interiors: soft curves, gold-toned metal, worked crystals, and an elegant presence without tipping into ostentation.
Tracked shipping and careful packaging.
