Antique French rectangular wall mirror in a turned wood frame with a bamboo-like motif, Empire-style, beige patina, measuring 43 cm by 56 cm, dating circa 1850–1900 and in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Rectangular mirror with a turned wood frame simulating bamboo stalks, forming a décor characteristic of the Japonisme aesthetic diffused in Europe in the second half of the 19th century.
The structure is composed of uprights and crosspieces imitating the knots of bamboo, finished at the corners with turned caps evoking the tips of stalks. The whole presents a warm honey-brown hue with an antique patina.
The back features a protective panel lined with decorative paper, preserving the glass.
