Description from the seller

GENERAL INFORMATION
On sale an exceptional example of the BMW 135i Cabriolet E88 generation from 2010 with approximately 107,000 kilometers on the odometer. This top variant of the 1 series in a convertible body hides under the hood a legendary inline-six engine of three liters with variable valve timing Double VANOS and direct fuel injection High Precision Injection. It delivers 306 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, available at low revs. Drive is sent to the rear axle via a proven ZF automatic transmission. The presented VIN WBAUN9C55AVK41908 derives from the American market. The car is currently registered in Poland, has a valid technical inspection and current liability insurance (OC), allowing immediate return to the road. Given its unique character and the modifications made, the car is an excellent proposition for a brand enthusiast seeking an unconventional convertible with great performance.

BODYWORK & PAINT
The sporty silhouette is enhanced by factory Space Grey Metallic paint. The car underwent a number of visual modifications that give it a much more dynamic, individual character. Externally it is distinguished by a rear diffuser, two-part twisty wheels, and a sport exhaust system crowned with authentic Akrapovic tips. The fabric roof is fully sealed and functioning. The mechanism folds in and out without fault, as confirmed by a professional service performed at the specialized Vcentrum. An original windscreen is also included, effectively eliminating air turbulence at high speeds with the roof down. Windows, lighting, seals, and all external decorative elements are complete. The vehicle was imported with a minor side damage which, according to the previous owner, was purely cosmetic. Structural and load-bearing elements have not been compromised, and there are no signs of welding repairs or bodywork needing intervention. As a used car it shows normal, age- and mileage-appropriate wear.

TECHNICAL CONDITION
Since purchase in 2023 the car has been in the hands of the current owner, who immediately commissioned a comprehensive inspection and repairs at the Warsaw-based Vcentrum workshop. The value of this major service was around twenty thousand PLN, effectively eliminating typical mechanical issues for this model and age. The work included precise sealing of the powertrain, a full engine and automatic transmission oil service, and refreshment of suspension and air conditioning components. The engine runs evenly and develops full power, with injectors updated to the 12 index favored by enthusiasts, ensuring stable and trouble-free fuel delivery. The ZF gearbox shifts gears very smoothly, perfectly responding to the driver’s commands. The braking, steering, and suspension systems are fully functional and require no financial input at this time. The Bimmercheck history confirms regular care of the car in earlier stages, including replacement of spark plugs, ignition coils, battery, and discs and pads. The latest entry in this database dates to October 2017 with the odometer at 85,000 km.

INTERIOR
The passenger cabin is finished in black leather and offers a very rich array of BMW equipment. The cockpit includes sports heated front seats with electric adjustment and memory, two-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and xenon headlights with adaptive cornering lighting. Acoustic comfort is provided by the enhanced HiFi Professional DSP audio system, which has been upgraded with newer, more efficient speakers. The interior gains a unique, sporty flair with M steering wheel leather-wrapped with shift paddles, a leather-wrapped steering column, and a new leather gear knob. Factory wood grain trims have been replaced with elegant alcantara veneer, directly referencing the limited 1M model. Additionally, the instrument cluster features gauges from the BMW M2. All electrical equipment, onboard systems, rain sensor, and lighting package operate correctly.

DOCUMENTS
The car comes with a complete set of documents confirming its legal status and service history. The buyer will receive a Polish registration document, vehicle card, current insurance policy, and valid technical inspection. A key element of the documentation is a detailed extract from the Bimmercheck history and a thick file of invoices and receipts from the Warsaw Vcentrum describing the scope of mechanical work carried out and the roof repair amounting to almost twenty thousand PLN.

COLLECTION
The vehicle is owned by a car dealership in Warsaw. Physical collection and a thorough pre-purchase inspection can be arranged after a prior telephone appointment. The car is located and ready for pickup in Wiktorów, Poland. Given its full mechanical functionality and current documents, the car is ready to hit the road immediately after formalities are completed.

OTHER INFORMATION
This BMW 135i Cabriolet is a rare project on the used market, successfully combining comfortable open-air travel with the performance of a genuine sports car. The stylistic and mechanical modifications make the car stand out on the street. All invoices and service documents are available for inspection by interested clients during on-site viewing.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
