Beautiful mechanical mantel clock from the renowned German manufacturer Aug. Schatz & Söhne, housed in an elegant glass display case with a brass-colored frame. The clock features a high-quality 8-day movement with three winding points and a Westminster/St. Michael chime with eight hammers and eight sound rods, so every quarter hour a lovely melody sounds followed by the hour strike.

The open construction offers a nice view of the finely finished mechanical movement. The original Schatz dial and the brand engraving “Aug. Schatz & Söhne – Made in Germany” are present. The model is equipped with a Silent setting to optionally disable the chimes. Schatz was known for producing high-quality mechanical clocks and is among the most esteemed German clock manufacturers of the twentieth century. The company closed its doors in the eighties.
