Description from the seller
General
The OSI Ford Coupé undoubtedly belongs to one of the most remarkable and rare European Grand Tourers from the late sixties. This elegant model emerged from a special collaboration between Ford of Europe and the Italian coachbuilder Officine Stampaggi Industriali (OSI). The goal was to create an exclusive, sporty coupé even before the introduction of the Ford Capri. The striking design was provided by the famous Italian designer Sergio Sartorelli, who is known, among other things, for the iconic Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Type 34. His refined design gave the OSI Ford elegant GT proportions, clean lines, and a luxurious appearance that made the car stand completely apart from the regular Ford models of that period. Production ran for only a short period from 1967 to 1968 and ended abruptly due to the bankruptcy of OSI. Of the approximately 2,200 units built in total, only a few hundred are estimated to remain worldwide today. This makes the OSI Ford one of the rarest European Ford-related classics on the market today.
This specific matching-numbers example was built in 1968 and first registered in 1969. The car is equipped with the highly sought-after 2.3-liter V6 engine. This powerplant makes the car even more appealing to collectors, as it is estimated that only 409 examples with this engine were delivered new in Germany. This Dutch-margin car was originally delivered new in Germany and was imported to the Netherlands in 2013, where the car has been registered ever since. With a mileage of 41,140 kilometers, this rear-wheel-drive coupé is fully exempt from APK (Dutch periodic vehicle inspection) due to its age. The vehicle represents an extremely exclusive collector’s item with unmistakable Italian flair.
Bodywork and Paint
The timeless GT exterior is finished in a beautiful silver metallic paint that perfectly accentuates Sartorelli’s tight, clear lines. The bodywork is complemented by an abundance of classic chrome details that give the car its high-end grand touring appearance. These details include the chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome mirrors, and a chrome exhaust finisher. The metallic paint and glossy trim combine beautifully to provide an elegant, well-preserved look that emphasizes the high-quality bodywork of this rare model.
Technical
Under the bespoke Italian design, this OSI Ford benefits from extremely reliable and easy-to-maintain Ford technology. The car is powered by the coveted 2.3-liter (2293 cc) V6 engine, delivering 107 hp and with matching numbers status. This smooth V6 is paired with a manual four-speed gearbox driving the rear wheels. The vehicle is also equipped with power-assisted brakes, ensuring a familiar and comfortable driving experience. This fusion of rare Italian design and proven Ford engineering offers the ultimate combination of exclusivity and mechanical reliability.
Interior
The interior of this grand tourer is finished in a practical 2+2 configuration, allowing the car to offer a premium cabin environment as well as surprising everyday usability. The interior features luxurious black leather upholstery with comfortable leather seats that look stunning. A classic wooden sport steering wheel sits in front of a refined wooden dashboard finish, adding a warm, classic atmosphere to the cockpit. The driver is well informed by a complete set of instruments, including a tachometer and a trip counter. Additional interior details include a classic radio, a folding rear seat that considerably increases the luggage space, and a spacious trunk. This makes the car highly suitable for enjoyable weekend drives.
Documentation
The car has a solid administrative background, has been registered in the Netherlands since 2013, and is equipped with a valid, active Dutch license plate. Because of its age and historical classification, this vehicle is fully exempt from the regular APK inspection. Moreover, for this Ford OSI, due to its age, a COC (certificate of conformity) is not required for registration within Europe, which makes any registration outside the Netherlands particularly straightforward. For official verification and historical inspection, the chassis number (VIN) is EX54GP02470.
Pickup
The vehicle is currently located in Schiedam, the Netherlands, where the car can be viewed, inspected, and collected by the winning bidder. To ensure full transparency and satisfaction, technical inspections, test drives, and viewings before placing a bid are warmly encouraged. After the auction, the seller is fully prepared to assist the buyer in organizing worldwide transport and the associated logistics.
Additional Information
This OSI Ford 20 M TS Coupé is an extremely rare find that recalls a bygone era of limited-run hand-built sports cars. Since the attached photos are an essential part of the description, bidders are invited to study them carefully to fully appreciate the condition and fine details of this classic. Thanks to the current Dutch license plate, the car is fully road-legal. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a rare piece of Italian-German automotive history that is highly sought after by international collectors and rarely appears on the market.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
