A very unique carpet that summarizes the war between the Afghans and the Soviets. The Soviets, who were inexperienced in Afghan terrain, brought with them a lot of tanks, which proved to be a huge mistake because of the uneven terrain in Afghanistan and the fact that Afghanistan is about 75 percent mountainous. These tanks were useless, only prey for those who roamed the mountains.
