Description from the seller
A very rare find—6 hand-painted dessert plates produced between 1848 and 1868 at the renowned Carl Knoll factory in Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary) in Bohemia, which was then still part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The plates are made of fine white porcelain. They are decorated with a delicate motif of blue cornflowers and pink blossoms. The design is complemented by a classic blue geometric stripe and a beautifully scalloped rim with subtle gold gilding.
Ideal for: Collectors of rare antique European porcelain. A stunning display piece for a dining room display cabinet, a display case, or a gallery wall. A unique and thoughtful gift for lovers of vintage art.
Condition: Given its age, it is in excellent antique condition. No cracks or major chips. The colors and gold trim remain remarkably bright and distinct.
