Geometric steel lamp, model Estructura Geométrica, made in France in the late 1980s, in good used condition and in working order, 62 cm high by 36 cm wide and 36 cm deep, with a red conical shade.
Description from the seller
It’s a late-20th-century design lamp, clearly related to the Lumica aesthetic, where geometry becomes language and light a gesture almost architectural. The metal structure, reduced to an open rectangular frame, works as a deliberate void: it doesn’t try to imitate a traditional body, but to sketch a space, a line, a minimal yet striking presence. That play between fullness and emptiness is very typical of Spanish and European design from the 80s-90s, when lighting began to dialog with sculpture and contemporary furniture.
On that geometric base rises a conical shade in a vivid red, a purposeful contrast that adds warmth and a touch of theatricality. The shade softens the harshness of the metal and turns the piece into a balance between the technical and the domestic, between the coldness of industrial design and the warmth of color. The whole maintains that sober, almost graphic elegance that characterizes designer lamps of the era.
The lamp preserves its original wiring and the proportion between base, structure, and shade is very well resolved, which reinforces its reading as a design object rather than just a luminaire. It’s an ideal piece for contemporary interiors, minimalist spaces, or environments where a modern accent with its own identity is sought.
Certified shipping and careful packaging.
