Rodenstock Aldon opera binoculars, 3× magnification, made in Germany (Munich), Art Deco, circa 1930–1940, in very good condition and tested and functional.

Rodenstock “Aldon” refers to a well-known historic opera binoculars (theater glass) from the German manufacturer G. Rodenstock in Munich.
The variant made of gilded brass (often combined with mother-of-pearl, leather or black lacquer) mostly dates from the 1930s to the 1950s and is today a popular collector's item.
Key features of the Rodenstock Aldon Optical Type: It is a compact binocular according to the Galileo principle.
Magnification: 3-3.5. The model has a massive bridge for precise straight guidance of the lenses. The mechanical parts are usually made of brass with black piano lacquer. In this noble edition gilded decorative bands on the holders. Tubes gilded brass. is. decorated.
Special feature here: The eye relief can be individually adjusted! Accessories: Original matching leather case, still with wooden lining! See photos! and in cartonage!
