Description from the seller
The NAD 514 is a well-regarded, vintage hi-fi CD player introduced in the mid-1990s as NAD Electronics' budget-friendly answer to the then popular Marantz CD63SE. The player is well-known in the audio world for its excellent, warm sound quality and minimalistic, robust construction.
Main features & specifications
Sound quality: Equipped with a high-quality digital-analog converter (DAC). It delivers a detailed, musical and typical analog-sounding sound image that competes well with more expensive players.
Connections: Has standard analog Stereo L/R RCA outputs and a digital coaxial output, making it perfect for pure running (CD transport) in combination with a modern external DAC.
E-discs: E-discs play original CDs effortlessly. Sometimes the player can respond a little more sensitively to (lightly) scratched or self-burned CD-Rs.
