solid bronze with a beautiful deep dark patina, in the deeper grooves there is authentic green oxidation which confirms the age of the casting.
the mother lion is adorned with a beautifully engraved floral motif depicting peonies, the Chinese symbol for wealth, honor and prosperity.
the figurine is mounted on a high-quality antique European Rouge Belge (Belgian red) marble base with stunning natural calcite veins
female Buddhist mother lion with her playful cub in Chinese culture symbolizing maternal protection, harmony within the family and the well-being of the offspring.
The red seal on the bottom is unfortunately no longer legible, otherwise the market value would be around 1100 euros.

massief brons met een prachtig diep donker patina,in de diepere groeven bevind zich een authentieke groene oxidatie hetgeen de ouderdom van het gietwerk bevestigt.
de moederleeuw is voorzien van een prachtig ingegrist bloemotief die pioenrozen voorstellen,Het Chinese symbool voor rijkdom,eer en voorspoed. 
het beeldje is gemonteerd op hoogwaardige antieke europese rouge belge ( belgisch rood ) marmeren voet met schitterende natuurlijke calciet aders 
vrouwelijke boedistische moederleeuw met haar spelende welp in de chinese cultuur symbool voor moederlijke bescherming, harmonie binnen het gezin en het welzijn van het nageslacht.
De rode zegel aan de onderkant is helaas niet meer leesbaar,anders zou de marktwaarde rond de 1100 euro zijn.
