Carved wooden mirror with grotesque motifs from the Napoleonic III period, datable to the 19th century (1800s), of French manufacture, in fine carved wood finished in genuine gold with opposing volutes all in motion, and fluted along the profile, with a floral theme reference. The glass is antique, contemporaneous with the era, very beautiful in its three-dimensional patina. Adapted as a mirror from the era with old mercury backing as shown in the photo.
