Up for auction is a stunning, highly collectible Yashica Minister II 35mm rangefinder camera in exceptionally preserved condition. Finding a fully functional model of this 1960s Japanese classic is becoming increasingly difficult.
Condition Report:
Cosmetic Condition: MINT / Near Mint. The metal body is gleaming, with no dents or major scratches. The black leatherette is fully intact and in beautiful condition. The film chamber is clean. (Please see the high-resolution pictures, which are part of the description).
Optical Condition: PERFECT. The highly regarded Yashinon 45mm f/2.8 lens is crystal clear. No scratches, no haze, and absolutely no fungus.
Mechanical Condition: FULLY WORKING. The Copal-SVL shutter fires accurately on all speeds, including the slow ones. The uncoupled LVS light meter responds to light. The rangefinder patch is visible, and focusing is smooth. The aperture blades are snappy and oil-free.
