A seated female figure of the West African Voodoo cult - Vodun pronounced.
It is an altar object; it is placed together with other figures and receives offerings.
Mainly kaolin, chalk, talc, gin, soap or cigarettes.
Hair braided into braids, clear face, the gaze looks into the distance, arms bent slightly extended in anticipation of offerings.
Rare is the depiction of wide sandals with bands/jewelry-decorated.
