Art Deco vase in blue transparent pressed glass, attributed to Scailmont, Belgium, circa 1930–1940, 17 cm high with a 9.5 cm footprint, in discrete condition with two small chips.
Description from the seller
Scailmont – Art Deco vase in blue pressed glass – Belgium, 1930s
Description in Italian
Elegant vase in the Art Deco style, made of transparent blue-tinged pressed glass.
The slender form, defined by vertical ribs and a flared opening, gives the object a decorative presence that is very pleasing. The geometric pattern of the glass reflects light well and clearly evokes the taste of the 1930s.
The vase bears a mark on the base and is attributed to Belgian producer Scailmont, a manufactory known for producing decorative glass in the early twentieth century.
The object shows normal signs of time and use. There is a small chip on one side and a further small flaw at the bottom of the vase. The defects are visible in the photographs and do not compromise the charm or decorative performance of the piece.
