Italian walnut wood cabinet with a triptych mirror in Umbertino style, dating to 1850–1900, with lockable doors, dimensions 156 cm wide, 60 cm deep and 198 cm high.

An extraordinary dresser with a triptych mirror in Umbertino style, dateable between 1880 and 1910, in native walnut with burr veneer and light wood inlays. It bears the original maker’s stamp: Cav. Luigi Trezzi, Turin — a prestigious furniture maker of the era, official supplier (contractor) to entities and institutions.
Main features:
Original black marble top with white veining
Three-part mirror, dismantlable with interlocking joints (facilitates transport)
4 deep drawers with original cast bronze handles
2 side compartments with doors and internal shelf
Two side containers with hinged lids and glass shelves, one on each side
Hand-carved cherubs (putti)
Floral and bow inlays on the uprights
Frame carved in an interwoven braided motif
Dovetail joints on the drawers (handcrafted)
Original maker’s stamp present and legible
Conservation restoration carried out:
Professional termite treatment based on permethrin
Holes sealed with wax
Finished in straw-yellow oil and wax polish
Wood consolidated and protected
