Description from the seller
Man Ray Wink
A rare art catalog from 1971 dedicated to Man Ray, published on the occasion of an exhibition and curated by Giuliano Martano for the Il Fauno and Martano galleries in Turin. It is a highly collectible edition from a limited print run of only 40 numbered copies from 1 to 40, a feature that makes it an extremely rare and sought-after piece in the 20th-century art and photography market.
The volume presents a black hard cover with an applied label and the typical layout of gallery catalogs of the era, with texts printed in blue on cream-colored paper and a selection of black-and-white images and photographs.
The inner pages are detached from the body of the book, but are present and complete. The photographs inside are in impeccable condition, perfectly preserved and intact, an element of great importance for this type of artistic publication.
Despite the volume's structure no longer being intact, the combination of an extremely limited edition, signature and iconic imagery maintains very high historical and collectible value of the catalog.
An work destined for collectors of modern art, fine art photography and original exhibition materials related to Man Ray.
