In twenty years, Thérèse Le Prat photographed actors from more than two hundred and fifty plays of the classical or modern repertoire: Louis Jouvet, Alain Cuny, Maria Casarès, Gérard Philipe, Marcel Marceau, Jean-Louis Barrault, Jean Vilar… Playing on photographic realism and using all the combinations offered by changes in costume, makeup, and lighting, she created a very personal body of work whose mystery of the human face constitutes the main source of inspiration.
