- Inscriptions: Obverse: commemorative Arabic legends and the date AH1415-1995. Reverse: ICPD CAIRO · 94, surrounded by commemorative Arabic inscriptions related to the international conference held in Cairo.
- Grade: MS63 (PCGS).
Silver five-pound commemorative coin issued by Egypt to mark the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), held in Cairo in 1994 under the auspices of the United Nations. The obverse features a highly ornamental Arabic calligraphic composition, accompanied by decorative medallions and the date in Islamic and Gregorian calendars, following the Islamic artistic tradition of modern Egyptian numismatics. The reverse shows the official ICPD Cairo 94 logo, surrounded by a wreath of Arabic inscriptions. The specimen retains much of its original luster, with sharp relief and attractive fields showing light contact marks typical of its MS63 grade. This issue constitutes an interesting testament to a significant international event held in Egypt during the 1990s.
