Vladimir Kagan design, orange fabric chaise longue with an aluminium base, part of the Kagan New York Collection from the late 1990s, in excellent condition with slight signs of wear and age; dimensions 152.5 cm deep, 93 cm high, 69 cm wide, seat height 41 cm.
Description from the seller
Designed in 1969 by Vladimir Kagan for his wife Erica Wilson, this seating piece is one of the most recognizable icons of organic design. It is an original from the Kagan New York Collection from the late 1990s, prior to Holly Hunt’s acquisition in 2016. To confirm its authenticity, the metal label on the back of the backrest and the distinctive base in cast aluminum (today reproduced in Lucite or sculpted walnut wood). When we acquired it, its condition was severely compromised (see “before” photo). We entrusted Etoile Divani of Forlì, a leading company in the upholstery sector, with a complete philological restoration, and thanks to their expertise, today the Chaise Longue fully expresses its identity once again. Given the complexity of the upholstery, equipped with a zipper running along the lower part, some detailing that enhances it, and the high quality Meucci 100% cotton fabric (Martindale test 20,000 cycles), the intervention required a considerable financial effort. Available photos before and after the restoration and accompanying documentation."} 方ablytyped?;EOops I included
