Description from the seller
A-2300SX – Stereo Reel-to-Reel Recorder (Vintage)
The TEAC A-2300SX is a reference stereo reel-to-reel recorder from 1970s Japan, designed with criteria of high mechanical stability and high-fidelity analog playback. Admired by audiophiles and collectors, it represents one of the most successful examples of TEAC’s design philosophy in the consumer/semipro segment of the era.
The model uses a three-motor transport system, with precise tape tension control and separation of recording, playback, and erase functions through dedicated heads. The mechanical construction is solid, with a rigid chassis and an internal layout designed to reduce vibrations and Wow-and-Flutter instability.
Exemplar condition
This specific unit presents in excellent aesthetic condition, kept for a long time exclusively on static display (showcase) and used very lightly.
Very well-preserved aesthetics, with no obvious signs of wear
Front, knobs, and VU meters in overall excellent condition
No apparent modifications or tampering
Mechanics in order and functioning normally in the tests performed
Functionality
The unit has been tested and is operational in the main functions:
Play
Fast Forward
Rewind
Recording
Important note
The unit is supplied without a power cord, as it has been preserved exclusively as a display piece. For this reason the cable is not included in the original equipment.
