Platinum (PGE) sulfide ore a mineral containing platinum, rhodium, iridium and ozmium and primarily found in Ni-Cu-Cr-PGE deposits.

Natural Platinum Sulfide ore minerals has a Mohs hardness of 4-5, making it moderately fragile.

These deposits from when mantle-derived magmas become saturated with sulfide, leading to the segregation of an immiscible sulfide liquid and are commonly associated with with mafic and ultramafic rocks.

Non magnetic

Tested with hydrogen peroxide an immediate reaction is

catalysed.
