Description from the seller
Art Deco-style table, made with precious veneer in selected burl, with rich and deep grain that creates a warm and elegant scenographic effect.
The top, wide and slightly contoured, is embellished with a delicate inlaid filet along the edge, executed with great precision. The mirror-polished finish enhances the raw material, highlighting the natural figured patterns of the wood.
The structure is characterized by:
- column legs with elliptical bases, solid and well-proportioned
- central curved crosspiece, distinctive element that recalls the geometric and dynamic taste of the era
- balance between soft lines and substantial volumes, typical of déco design.
High-quality artisanal furniture, recognizable in the precision of the inlays, in the continuity of the grain (carefully matched) and in the glossy finish achieved in multiple passes.
The construction highlights traditional cabinetmaking techniques, with attention to both structural solidity and aesthetics.
This piece fits into the Art Déco strand, an international movement developed between the 1920s and 1940s, characterized by elegance, luxury and modernity.
It evokes the taste of the great masters and déco designers active between France and Italy, where furniture production united high-level craftsmanship and stylistic innovation, destined for bourgeois residences and representative settings.
