Description from the seller
Lead crystal tableware service consisting of 21 pieces, heavy, with a minimum content of 24% PbO. The items date from the second half of the 20th century, roughly the 1970s–1980s, and originate from continental Europe (German, Bohemian, or Italian manufacture). The design features a geometric diamond-cut pattern with cross-cut diamonds surmounted by rounded arches at the lower part of the bowls. The body shape echoes the lines of Waterford's Powerscourt model but differs in the footwork. The stem is faceted with hexagonal facets and a faceted knob at the top. The glasses exhibit a high, prolonged audible resonance when tapped. The lot includes 9 large glasses, presumably water glasses, with a height of about 19.5 cm and a maximum depth (diameter) of 8.5 cm. There are also 12 smaller glasses, presumably wine glasses, with a height of about 19.0 cm and a maximum depth of 7.5 cm. Under the circular foot of each piece is pressed a six-pointed hexagonal star inserted into a geometric radial pattern. The glasses have no engraved signatures. On the bases of some pieces, remnants of original glue from factory-applied paper or metallic labels are visible. The service is in excellent, near-new condition. The glasses show no signs of wear from use or washing. The crystal is intact, free of opacification, and there are no chips, cracks, or veining along the upper rims or on the supporting bases. Shipping is carried out via trackable express courier. The packaging is done professionally and reinforced. Each individual piece is wrapped separately in shock-absorbent protective material to ensure the complete integrity of the crystals during transport.
