Description from the seller
A beautiful and very complete dinnerware set from the famous British brand Wedgwood, executed in the beloved Conway pattern.
This dinnerware is a true classic for the lover of UK earthenware. The basis of this model is the iconic Edme form, designed in the early 20th century by John Goodwin. Characteristic of this form is the refined fluted/cannelled structure (the recognizable vertical ribs) and the warm, cream-colored glaze, also known as the Ware.
The Conway (decor code AK8384) is known for its colorful, hand-painted look. The centerpiece of each piece is a stunning bouquet of roses, geraniums and violets in vibrant shades of pink, blue and yellow. This pattern is now discontinued, which makes it a sought-after item for collectors who want to complete or expand their set.
The entire dinnerware is in excellent condition. The glaze is clear and the colors of the floral decoration remain beautifully deep. No chips, cracks or notable crazing. All pieces bear the authentic "Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston Conway" stamp on the underside.
