Strongbox - Iron

Ancient nail-studded safe dating from the mid-19th century, of Italian production, probably built in the Biella area.

A rare high-quality piece, the safe has a very complex lock; the keys are a true work of art, and their craftsmanship is very distinctive and meticulous.

The front features a beautiful gilded bronze plaque depicting the Imperial coat of arms of Napoleon III.

The safe is constructed in veneered wood, with faceting and nail-studding.

The lock includes one external secret for unlocking the mouthpiece and two internal secrets for the lock. The lock is operated with two keys and a bolt to activate the secrets.

Interior equipped with a shelf.

The safe is completely original, including keys and lock. The locks and secrets have been serviced and work perfectly.
