A splendid Chinese plate with a five bluish dragon in the central medallion, pursuing the flaming pearl; the rising sides with two more dragons; the reverse side also executed with two dragons between a painted motif of flames. The back/bottom is unglazed. Estimated period: around 1900, Republic era, but probably older.
