Secession-style Westerwald stoneware jug, 3 L, handmade with cobalt decoration, dating from ca. 1900–1910, in good condition with minor signs of age.

Art Nouveau Westerwald stoneware pitcher 3L – hand-decorated with cobalt – Germany approx. 1900
Elegant and decorative jug from German Westerwald stoneware, made around 1900.
A specimen with a classic, full form, a sturdy handle, and rich cobalt decoration in the Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) style. The ornament is hand-engraved and filled with the characteristic blue cobalt pigment, creating an impressive composition typical of the best wares from the Westerwald region.
On the body there is a capacity mark “3L”, corresponding to a 3-liter capacity.
The item is made of high-quality stoneware fired at a high temperature, which has preserved it in very good condition. This is an authentic example of German ceramic craftsmanship from the turn of the nineteenth to the twentieth century.
