Elegant cornice made of carved, shaped, and gilded wood.
Its main feature is the rich central band decorates on multiple levels.
The outermost decorative edge consists of a relief band with a continuous motif of leaves and plant interlaces arranged in regular succession along the entire profile of the frame.
Follow a refined central band richly adorned with palmettes and stylized acanthus leaves in relief, arranged in regular sequence on a striped and gilded background, giving the decoration an elegant architectural effect.
Finally the frame is enriched by the inner edge finished with a continuous raised beading, composed of small gilded hemispherical elements.
The molded side profile is made up of a succession of inclined planes and moldings linked together, which give depth and momentum to the whole.
The darkened patina emphasizes the sculptural relief of the ornaments, lending the decoration an elegant effect.
Very well cared for in the details and richly covered with plaster of notable visual impact, this frame presents optimal dimensions to display one’s paintings, portraits, or mirror in homes or galleries.
