Large wooden frame characterized by refined handcrafted, carved and gilded workmanship.
The frame features the main band completely embellished with a dense, rhythmic pattern of lanceolate, overlapping laurel leaves, arranged in a continuous sequence along the entire perimeter.
The outer edge is finished with a gadroon pattern and raised geometric dentellations.
The inner profile presents a delicate fluting, enhanced by dark fills that accentuate its visual separation.
Lovely gilding, skillfully alternating bright areas with darkened ones in the carving.
The side profile shows a noticeable central stepped recess.
This frame, with its refined laurel leaf execution, a classical symbol of virtue, glory and immortality, is the ideal stage to elevate works of art and paintings of great prestige.
