Camargue secrète is a hardback book by Lucien Clergue, first edition (1976), published by Pierre Belfond, with dust jacket, 112 pages, measuring 34.5 × 25 cm, featuring black-and-white heliogravure photographs, in French.
Description from the seller
Very beautiful book, large format (34.5 × 25 cm): Camargue secrète — Lucien Clergue (Pierre Belfond, 1976)
96 black-and-white photographs printed heliogravure with magnificent blacks.
Condition: very good, note the dust jacket is worn and a corner dented at the top left that has slightly marked all pages (visible in the photos); apart from that, the rest — cover, binding and all pages — are in very good condition.
Camargue secrète is considered one of Lucien Clergue’s major works devoted to his native region, the Camargue. Unlike his famous nude or bullfighting series, this volume is entirely devoted to landscapes, marshlands, salt pans, wild expanses and the natural shapes formed by the Rhône, wind and salt. A sought-after work for collectors of French photographic books from the 1970s.
Book shipped in a very carefully packed box with insurance and tracking number.
