Description from the seller
David Hockney
*1937 Bradford/UK - 2026 London
was a British painter, printmaker, stage designer and photographer. He is regarded as an influential 20th-century artist with a focus on landscape painting and portraiture. Hockney is often described as a leading figure associated with Pop Art, yet he possesses a distinct artistic profile.
His works fetch high prices at auction. For example, his painting “Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures, 1972)” sold for 90.3 million US dollars at Christie’s on November 15, 2018. Until 2019 it was the most expensive painting by a living artist ever sold at auction worldwide.

Vinyl records are once again fully in vogue and have seen a sustained rise in value for many years.
Many major artists, such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Gerhard Richter, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst or Raymond Pettibon, as well as Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, among others, have at times begun to design covers for notable interpreters.
The zeitgeist medium of the artist-designed record cover has established itself since the 1980s as a distinct collecting category, offering art collectors a meaningful enrichment of their collection with significant potential for appreciation in value.
For many years now, records whose covers were designed by contemporary artists have been honored with international exhibitions in major museums.
Covers especially signed by the artist are very rare to find and offer collectors an ultimate investment.
