Specimen: Dinosaurio; Scientific name: Rebbachisaurus garasbae; Geological period: Late Cretaceous; Condition: Natural; Authenticity: Original.
Description from the seller
Scientific Name:
Rebbachisaurus garasbae
Location:
Kem Kem Valley, Morocco
Stage:
Late Cretaceous
Size:
Approximately 18–19 cm
Description of the fossil:
A large tail vertebra belonging to the giant sauropod Rebbachisaurus garasbae, one of the most imposing herbivores of the African Cretaceous.
These types of vertebrae, especially from the tail region, are extremely rare, as sauropod remains from the Kem Kem tend to appear highly fragmented due to intense predation by large carnivores such as Carcharodontosaurus.
The piece is presented in a completely natural state, with a very well-defined morphology, solid volume and a bone structure that preserves exceptional details for its size. Its rarity is notable: complete or near-complete tail vertebrae of Rebbachisaurus are virtually nonexistent on the market, making this specimen a unique piece of enormous value for advanced collectors or museum displays.
Its size, between 18 and 19 cm, places it among the largest and best-preserved known specimens of this sauropod in the fossil market.
