This is an intriguing fetish of the Yoruba of Benin. A head, adorned with two birds, with a receptacle on the top of the skull in which an iron piece is driven. Beads and fabrics complete the fetish. The whole is set inside a calabash. It is clear that the fetish has been used and has received numerous offerings, blood, alcohol and other substances. The expression on its face is assured and confident. Its gaze seems to be looking into parallel worlds. It watches us with an enigmatic smile. It has an undeniable presence.
