San Leucio precious and rare bedspread in piqué, worked with an important tall border handmade by crochet using ultrafine cotton threads. The San Leucio piqué bedspread is a classic product of the Caserta textile tradition, much appreciated for its freshness and the raised weave with the typical damask pattern repeated also in silk bedcovers.
The pure cotton worked with the San Leucio design is woven on the ancient looms of the famous Opificio Serico of San Leucio, known worldwide also for its beautiful silks. To this white bedspread an tall and precious crocheted border, entirely handmade, with a geometric design and rounded edges, has been applied. Purchased by a noble family from Caserta for a dowry, it has never been used, lovingly preserved, and then professionally washed and sanitized to refresh it.
