Description from the seller
Set of 11 water goblets in light crystal, with superior resonance, transparent, mouth-blown, characterized by refined craftsmanship and decorations rich in detail. The cup features a flared trumpet or open tulip shape, optics that help reflect light. The central part of the bowl is embellished with an intricate engraving (likely performed acid-etching or diamond grinding). The motif depicts a series of decorative arches topped by stylized lilies and small flowers, with a honeycomb or scale-like weave (similar to a pinecone or geometric surface) that fills the lower part of the design. The stem is smooth, solid, slender, and slightly tapered upward and downward, connecting cleanly to the flat circular base. The era suggests dating in the first half of the 20th century, more precisely between the late 1920s and the 1930s. This clean yet richly engraved style is typical of the period including Art Deco. The shape of the goblet and the type of engraving strongly recall the productions of the famous prestigious glassworks of Empoli (Florence), model Oasis. A service of the utmost luxury. It could have been a ceremonial service, a wedding gift for an important family, or an exclusive customized line for a grand hotel, a private club, or a noble house. Measurements: height 15.3 x diameter 10.1 cm.
