Saucer / Antique Rococo Tray – Berndorf (Austria) – 19th/20th Century
Elegant decorative plate (salva/vide poche) in Rococo style, produced by the prestigious Austrian manufacturer Berndorfer Metallwaarenfabrik (BMF), founded by the Krupp family.
An authentic collectible piece, ideal for classic décor or for enthusiasts of cutlery and antique silver. Brand /
Berndorf, Austria (engraved signature "BERNDORF D" clearly visible on the back).
Late 19th Century / Early 20th Century (Historicist / Rococo Revival period).
Rococo, with relief decoration of scrolls and shell motifs (rocaille).
Material: Bronze-based metal (high-quality alloy) with original silver-gilt plating.
Shows significant wear to the original silver plating, revealing the golden-coppery hue of the base metal and a natural patina of age (with traces of tarnish on the back). No dents or structural deformities in the metal alloy. Maintains all the charm of a genuine antique piece.
