Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Two iron candelabras in the Napoleón III antique style, dating to 1900–1910 and made in France, with a sober, architectural form, measuring 22 cm high by 10 cm wide and 10 cm deep, and in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Those two iron candelabras belong squarely to the decorative universe of the Napoleonic III style, even though they are dated to the early years of the 20th century, when the historicist taste remained very alive in European workshops. Their presence is sober but forceful: pieces designed to last, with a visual weight that comes more from the form than from ornament.
The iron, worked with a dark, slightly satin finish, gives that almost architectural air so typical of the Second Empire. The ribbed bases, wide and stable, recall classical pedestals reinterpretated in a domestic key. From them rise the fluted, vertical, elegant shafts, with a regular rhythm that guides the gaze toward the top. That fluting, as simple as effective, is a direct wink to the neoclassical language that Napoleon III recovered and theatricalized.
The upper part, where the candle sits, maintains the same logic: a small decorative plate and a slightly molded receptacle, without excess, but with enough presence to balance the piece. The set conveys that mix of solidity, functionality, and discreet refinement that characterizes the style: nothing is fragile, nothing is superfluous, but everything is designed to dress an interior with character.
They are candelabras that work both as utilitarian pieces and as decorative elements, perfect to bring a historic and elegant touch to any environment.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
