Sculpture, Masque mortuaire - 27 cm - Plaster

Stunning and original funeral mask dating from around 1900. It is made of plaster. A mold, often in wax, was created on the deceased’s face, then plaster was poured into the mold. Beautiful facial features; you can even see the eyelashes.

Dimensions: 27 x 15.5 x 14 cm

Good condition of the face, edges with broken parts glued back, detached ear, traces of glue, fabric reinforcement at the back and presence of hair. The funeral mask will be carefully packaged and sent with a tracking number. No delivery to the USA or to the Middle East.
