Description from the seller
Magnificent export porcelain dish, richly decorated in blue and white (underglaze blue), datable to the Qing Dynasty period, more specifically to the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1736–1795).
The central medallion presents a classic and detailed scene of an Eastern garden, containing a gnarled pine (symbol of longevity), a pierced ornamental rock (scholar's rock) and a peony in full bloom beside a geometric fence. The rim of the plate is elegantly adorned with three generous, continuous floral scrolls.
