Description from the seller

Lot consisting of 3 objects:

PISCICIDE? Wait: Actually 'PISSIDE' in Italian is 'pisside' (a sacred aedes) But it's 'PISSIDE' as is; keep as 'pisside' to preserve proper noun? The instruction: proper nouns keep names of people/companies/products as-is unless standard translation. 'Pisside' is a term for a sacred chalice lid? It's a piece. We'll translate as 'pisside' because it's a specific term. Here I'll leave 'PISSIDE' and 'n.2 COPERCHI pisside' I think 'pisside' is odd. We'll translate as 'PISSIDE' and 'copri' - Might be 'coperchio pisside' We should translate consistently: 'PISSIDE' and 'Lid' etc.

PISSIDE, dated 1893; interior of the cup and lid in vermeil. It has simply been cleaned, without polishing with brushes; it shows some signs of age intentionally not removed. On the base and on the lid there are small punches (as in the photo) visible with oblique light; acid test was performed but it was not possible to verify the fineness.

n.2 PISSIDE LIDS
The first (slightly larger) bears the classic ecclesiastical stamp and is topped by a radiating cross;
The second (slightly smaller) is topped by a more traditional cross.
For both, an acid test was not performed; please carefully check the photos which form an integral part of the description.

Shipping throughout the European Community; any customs duties are the purchaser’s responsibility. For deliveries to difficult locations (e.g., islands and mountainous areas) any additional costs are at the purchaser’s expense; please inquire before placing bids.
